Like the gates previously mentioned in this guide, the Porte du Saint-Esprit marks the entrance to the street of the same name. It was completely destroyed following the Second World War in 1945 (as was almost the entire town). The gate was already in existence in 1378, when it was known as the "lower" gate. In the mid-15th century, it evolved into the shape depicted in a lost painting by Antoni Möller in 1603. The building was completely rebuilt after the war. Work only began in the first half of the 1980s.

Mais il est possible que ses origines remontent au troisième quart du XIVe siècle et que sa forme modeste de portail trouve une analogie avec la porte de Krowia et la porte de Świętojańska.
Au 17ème siècle, et probablement au 16ème siècle, la porte a perdu sa fonction d'origine et est devenue un objet résidentiel;
son intérieur a été reconstruit plusieurs fois.
