If you're interested in twentieth-century history, don't miss a visit to this specialist museum. On September1, 1939, this post office was the first military target of the Nazis' wartime invasion, attacked at the same time as Westerplatte. Some 50 Polish postal workers defended it for 14 hours. Four employees managed to escape, the others were shot. One room is dedicated to the re-enactment of this tragic event, while the others are devoted to communication techniques.
