Located behind the PKS bus station, this center honors the famous astronomer Jan Heweliusz (1611-1687), a native of Gdańsk. It occupies Fort Grodzisko, a complex of military constructions connected with the siege of the city by the Russians in 1734, and then with the intrusion of Napoleonic troops in 1807. The main exhibition "Energy, Sky and Sun" has 75 interactive and playful workshops on the laws of nature, physics and the cosmos. The exhibition "Time Machine" tells the story of Fort Grodzisko.
