For a glimpse of pre-war Malbork, don't miss the old town hall, which today houses a cultural center. Its present form dates back to 1380, although it has been modified several times in the course of history. During World War II this was the headquarters of the Nazi police, and on the outer walls you will see a plaque commemorating the "Młody Las" partisans, active against the Germans between 1941 and 1945 in the area, and another in memory of the activists who made Marienburg a Polish town.
