CITY HALL
State building – Town Hall

Standing in the heart of the town, it was built in the early 18th century. It is in fact a skilful reuse of the old market hall, rebuilt in 1725, to which an upper floor was added. It features the town's coat of arms, a griffin with a fish tail. Above the main entrance, there's a stone Renaissance portal to the former town hall, which burned down in 1722 and justifies the new building. In front of the building, there's a pretty, much more recent fountain, built in 1919 at the time of Poland's independence.
