The French Institute in Krakow offers courses in French for adults. It has a beautiful library, set in beautiful vaulted cellars where one can, among other things, watch movies and access the Internet. Every Wednesday evening there are French film sessions in VO. The French consulate is coméptent in economic, political and cultural matters. However, consular competencies (registration, issuance of passports, identity cards and consular cards, nationality and civil status issues) were transferred to the Consular section of the Embassy of France in Warsaw.
