If you find yourself in the huge Bonarka center on the outskirts of the city, it is because you are eager to discover the reality of Polish life. Poles, like their neighbors from the former USSR, often meet in shopping centers and spend afternoons there. There are several reasons for this: the malls are heated (which is nice in winter), the stores in the city are too expensive and the malls are modern and actually very nice with good bars and restaurants. The Bonarka is very popular, especially its restaurant floor.
