This enormous church dates back to the 13th century. In the 19th century, it was enriched by Stanisław Wyspiański's superb Art Nouveau stained-glass windows and murals: the one above the door, God the Creator, is a masterpiece. During Lent, every Friday around 4:30 pm, men dressed in black carry a skull to the Passion Chapel, where they lie on the floor. The adjacent cloister(klasztor) houses a collection of portraits of all Krakow's bishops.
