Opened in 1993 and located in a former house of prayer built in 1880, the center is the headquarters of Fundacja Judaica, a foundation of secular origin whose goal is the preservation of the Jewish heritage of Kazimierz and of Jewish memory in Poland. It seeks to reconnect Polish Jews with their lost history and culture and to create a renewed dialogue between Jews and Poles. To this end, the center regularly organizes exhibitions, concerts and conferences. There is also a very pleasant café inside.
