Another ruin with a romantic silhouette in a bucolic landscape, renovated some fifteen years ago. This castle was built by Casimir the Great in the 14th century, probably, as was often the case in those days, on an ancient wooden structure. A legend still tells of a superb treasure hidden by the knights... The castle has undergone many destructions, the last in 1657 by the Swedes. It was in such a state that Jan II Sobieski, on his visit to the castle in 1683, had to sleep in a tent.
