This cable car connects the center of Zakopane to the top of Gubałówka Hill, 1,298 meters in three minutes, with a 300-meter difference in level. It's a bit of a cheat to watch the groups of hikers struggling up the escarpments that you can easily fly over, but at the same time, not everyone has the energy, inclination or physical fitness for the 3-hour climb and risk missing the sunset over the mountains, which is well worth the detour. As you can see, for the more athletic, the ascent is possible on foot.
