A proud native of Krynica, Nikifor (1893-1968) is considered Poland's greatest naive painter. In this museum, located in the artist's former studio, you'll find a large collection of his paintings, as well as numerous temporary exhibitions dedicated to other contemporary Polish painters. As you'll soon see, Nikifor was famous for his striking self-portraits and landscapes. He used watercolor and gouache, favoring soft, cool tones.
