CHURCH OF SAINT MICHEL L'ARCHANGE

3 km north of the town, this small, perfectly preserved early ^16th-century fir-wood church boasts a superbly decorated interior in the traditional style. The stencilled ceiling ornaments and Gothic sculptures date from the early ^16th century, and the Baroque paintings from the ^17th century. The best way to get in is to knock on the door of the priest who lives next door, or come early in the morning and attend services.
