This baroque Catholic church, dating from the 17th century, follows the highly recognizable style of Jesuit counter-Reformation architecture. Abandoned after the partition of Poland when the Austrians banned the order, it gradually fell into disrepair and was restored at the end of the 19th century. In 1991, Pope John Paul II donated the church to the Greek-Catholic community, which explains the superb 17th-century iconostasis inside.
