MONASTÈRE DES BERNARDINS

The Bernardins monastery complex is a famous place of pilgrimage, housing a priceless collection of sacred art. Here, for example, you'll find an early ^16th-century statue of the Virgin Mary, credited with numerous miracles. The interior of the church is richly decorated with frescoes from the second half of the ^19th century. Its superb altar, covered in gold leaf, dates from the late Renaissance. Don't miss the Holy Cross altar in the corridor linking the church to the monastery.
