REGIONAL MUSEUM

This regional museum is housed in the former Piarist monastery. It exhibits Polish paintings from the ^18th to the ^20th century, as well as glass and earthenware collections, and a comprehensive presentation of the region's history. You're sure to appreciate the ^17th-century vaults, decorated with original frescoes. Next door, the Piarist church was built in the ^mid-17th century. The Renaissance-style vault features stucco by Jan Falconi. The Baroque appearance of the façade is due to the redesign undertaken in 1706 by Tylman van Gameren.
