This Gothic cathedral is a bit of an unusual sight, overlooking blocks of brutalist buildings from the Soviet era. This church is undoubtedly the most beautiful in the city, redesigned in the 19th century in a neo-Gothic architecture. The bronze baptismal font from the 13th century is considered the oldest in Poland. It is a recent cathedral, originally a church, raised by John Paul II to the rank of cathedral for the new diocese of Gliwice.
