The best in town, this hotel boasts extra-luxury, individually designed rooms. Magnificent mosaic dating from 1903 in the lobby. Swimming pool and fitness room. The hotel's long history began over a hundred years ago, and it soon became one of the most popular hotels in Silesia, as soon proved by the presence of prominent and wealthy guests visiting Katowice. In the early 1920s, for example, the Monopol welcomed the young Captain Charles de Gaulle, who had come to train the young Polish army after the First World War.
