An exceptional museum not to be missed in Katowice. Divided into three main sections, it is dedicated to the history of the city and its inhabitants. In Nikiszowiec, there is a particularly interesting section of the museum dedicated to the urban ethnography of Upper Silesia. A large collection of objects tells about the everyday life of the working class, especially miners, from the mid-19th century to the 1960s. There is also a reproduction of a typical working-class dwelling in the region, and a collection of naive art paintings.
