OFFICE DU TOURISME (BIURO INFORMACJI TURYSTYCZNEJ)
Located in the valley of the Pszczynka River, surrounded by forests and water, Pszczyna is one of the most beautiful towns in Poland's Silesian Voivodeship. With a history of almost 700 years, it has long been the capital of the rich Pszczyna region, rich in traditions and monuments. Its position at the crossroads of the Oświęcim-Rybnik and Katowice-Bielsko-Cieszyn roads makes it an important communications crossroads. The town is also the seat of the municipality and district, as well as the service and commercial center of the entire region. The well-preserved medieval town center, the beautiful market square and numerous architectural monuments from the 18th and 19th centuries give Pszczyna an intimate, picturesque atmosphere. Particularly impressive is the princely castle, surrounded by a 150-hectare landscaped park. All this makes Pszczyna, nicknamed the Pearl of Upper Silesia, a very attractive place for visitors to relax amidst rich history and nature.
