Studios Kirah(kirah means the path) was born in 2017 at the initiative of the cultural association La Muse and its founder Bilia Bah, author and director. The Studios aims to be a cultural incubator and a writing residency. It is a place of production and dissemination for artists from various backgrounds. As part of its activities, it has already organized and included in the local cultural calendar various events: the Storytellers' Café (organized twice a month in the dry season) and the Authors' Café. It also hosts every two years the Univers des mots festival, which has become in a few years a cultural event not to be missed in Conakry, where artists from various countries meet. This festival, whose mission is to promote live performances in Guinea, to diversify the cultural offer and to support the creativity of French-speaking artists while contributing to their training and professionalization, is perfectly consistent with Kirah's approach.
It also pursues various cultural activities, notably for young people in the surrounding neighborhoods with awareness-raising theater. Regularly, concerts and shows are organized in its premises and its space dedicated to the show located in the Kipé district, in addition to the appointments proposed regularly. Admission is usually free, but consumption is recommended on site, if only to support the activity of the place. A unique cultural space in Conakry!
