North of Boffa, this village established on a bank of the Rio Pongo is a former slave port. Niara Bely, a famous businesswoman, had set up a flourishing trading post there in the 19th century. The place has kept traces of this painful past. It is a pity that nothing is organized on the spot to discover them. The research carried out during several years to try to discover a little more did not lead to great discoveries. Nevertheless, a trip to this remote village may allow you to discover the mystery of the three-footed magic stone.
