DITINN WATERFALL (THROUGH THE VALLEY)
With a height of 100 meters, it is the highest in Guinea. The waterfall is nestled in the hollow of a huge cirque with sandstone cliffs. The site itself is beautiful and frequented by many monkeys and flown over by many birds of prey, which live on the vertical walls. The waters flow from the top of the cliff into a pool that can be used as a refreshing bathtub, after the walk. It is very refreshing because the foot of the waterfall is mostly in the shade and therefore not very warmed by the sun. It is located 37 km north-east of Dalaba. It is reached by a very degraded track (2 hours in 4 x 4), which goes down almost all the way to the village of Ditinn. Some beautiful points of view allow to appreciate typical landscapes of Fouta. At the entrance of Ditinn, at the level of the poultry farm, you have to take the track on the right. From there, you follow a path that goes to the right, crosses three villages to arrive at Ley Fita, after 6 km. There you will find a camp originally built by Fouta Trekking Aventure, and composed of a few huts. It is now impossible to sleep in these huts, some of which do not even have a roof anymore. However, you can park near them and set up your bivouac to spend the night. You will have to pay a small fee to the villagers who used to manage the camp. From the camp, it remains 20 min of walk to reach the foot of the fall.

j'y suis allée en taxi moto soit 70 km aller retour de Dalaba. et j'ai beaucoup aimé la balade ! Au début de la piste, on traverse les champs de culture, puis on prend un peu de hauteur ou l'on peut profiter de superbes points de vue.
