CLUMSY TOUNTI ROCK
The Rocher de Tounti Maladhè is a monumental assemblage located on the Lélouma road.
Located on the Lélouma track, 2 hours from Labé by car and next to the village of Ley Holo (20 minutes on foot from the village), this curious "stone mushroom" grown in the middle of nowhere seems to defy all the laws of gravity. Consisting of a massive rock flattened on two sides, about 2 m thick, and a frail foot on which it is balanced, this monumental assembly seems to be "planted" there for eternity. During the fonio season (after the rains), the contrast between these massive rocks and the undulating cereal strands is striking.
