This forest is the worthy heir of the first pine plantations of Fouta around Dalaba, further south. It is a real satisfaction for the local youth, since it is the fruit of their work and represents an investment for the future, the pine being much sought after to make rafters used notably for roofing. The pine forest leads to a small, pleasant stream for a short break "perfumed" with pine sap. It is a place where the young people of Timbi like to meet during the various festivals that punctuate the year.
