It is from Mali, it is said, that the best lepis of Guinea come. And for good reason, here there is no recourse to raw materials other than natural and in particular for the dye, drawn from a plant growing on the slopes of the foutanian mounts. The indigo tree, as it is called, is a rather ordinary shrub whose macerated leaves allow to obtain the famous indigo color, this deep blue sometimes designated as the seventh color of the rainbow.
