If you really need to sleep in Koundara, the Sambaïlo is one of the acceptable establishments (by local standards) with borehole water and solar panels in this area which is otherwise very poor in terms of accommodation. The manager turns on the generator when there are 5 or more guests and the room rate is 150,000 FG. If you are alone in the hotel, you will have to make do with the light provided by the solar panels and the price will be 100 000 FG. Not necessarily ideal in one of the hottest regions of Guinea.
