PROTECTED NATURAL AREA PARC DIWASI
Located in the Foloningbè Wildlife Reserve, 75 km from Kankan, the protected area covers 104,000 ha, 60,000 of which are fully protected. Its purpose is the protection and conservation of nature and in particular of the local fauna, many of whose species are endangered or even on the verge of extinction: giant duiker, buffalo, wild dog, etc. More globally, the park is a space dedicated to ecotourism. Its name, Diwasi, is a contraction of three words maninka, diarra, wara and sii meaning lion, panther and buffalo. The Clapasson family has managed the park since its creation in 2005, in partnership with the Guinean Office of Parks and Reserves. The prospecting visits inside the park, which last at least one week, are a real expedition. It is therefore imperative to inform us at least ten days before coming so that everything can be put in place for the success of your stay but also to establish the modalities and the price. It is also possible to make local tours accompanied by a guide including, according to your choice, walks in the river, the visit of the bat cave or the observation of the local avifauna, the opportunity also to meet the inhabitants.
The Clapassons offer you a warm welcome in a quiet and relaxing environment. Call before you go on site at +224 622 87 66 92.
NB: difficult access to the park during the rainy season from July to September.
