In the Sankaran towards Kankan, a whole region is known to be a major beekeeping area in Upper Guinea and more widely in the country. Traditional and Kenyan beehives are home to wild bees that produce honey that is sold all over the roadside (in recycled bottles). Visiting the hives without clothing is risky, but you can make a stop or a small detour to see how the local beekeepers work and with what materials. It is also an opportunity to taste their honey with a strong and wild taste.
