BIR GUMBAZ TEA HOUSE
A pleasant setting inside the ancient Pahlivan Mahmouddans mosque. Bir Gumbaz means "a Dome". This small tearoom has decorated its room with a few souvenirs for sale. Plov, mantys, meatballs and salads on the menu. A prime location facing the Kalta Minor minaret, the portions are not huge but affordable, and the welcome very friendly. Specialties are prepared daily. Nice terrace on the main street, ideal for a break and a Turkish coffee, or an aromatic herbal tea with many herbs and flowers, in the shade during the day.
