Bukhara station is in the village of Kagan, a dozen kilometers southeast of the city. The Afrosyab high-speed train connects Tashkent with Samarkand and Bukhara every day, even at weekends. Allow just two hours for Tashkent-Samarkand, and a further two hours for Samarkand-Bukhara. The Sharq train runs between Tashkent and Bukhara every day (including overnight sleeper service) in around 7.5 hours. View and book tickets on the Uzbekistan Railways website. On-board snacks and hot tea are available.
