The mosque stands near the octagonal pool from which it takes its name. The huge iwan, 12 m high, stands on twenty Karagatch wooden pillars. It is used as a prayer hall in summer. The decoration of the ceiling coffers and the capitals, adorned with colorful muqarnas, make this mosque one of the most beautiful in the city. When the emir went to Friday prayers, carpets were laid on the floor from the Ark door to the entrance of the mosque. Although the mosque was built in 1712, the iwan and minaret were added in 1917.

un charme fou
Alors là c'est du beau et du magistral! déjà de par sa situation près d'un petit bassin et la grande esplanade devant. La façade et ses murs sont magnifiques, les colonnes de bois que l'on trouve aussi dans d'autres mosquées du pays sont photogéniques, l'intérieur de la mosquée est assez ordinaire et pas si richement orné comme certaines.

Qu'elle contraste avec avec la place du Régistan , Un bijou architectural a été aménagé sur un de ses cotés. La vue du bassin est magnifique avec ce minaret et la végétation. La décoration du porche,des piliers et des plafonds est remarquable sans oublier l'intérieur. Visite incontournable
