The cells of the three madrasas of Registan have been transformed into souvenir shops where you can find everything: suzanis, tioupés, ceramics... Don't hesitate to spend some time there because there are sometimes (but more and more rarely) good deals, without being diverted from the visit. There are very few craftsmen here, they are mostly retailers, and the shops are full of chinese shops as well as handicrafts. Negotiation is obviously required, to totally immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Silk Road..
