MARINE PASSENGER TERMINAL

Two ferry lines ensure the crossing of the Caspian: the first is to reach Aktau in Kazakhstan; and the second, Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan. Each journey lasts 12 hours. The ticket for Turkmenbashi costs 100 AZN, and the ticket for Aktau 120 AZN. However, this means of transport is reserved for travelers who have time before them. Schedules are never defined more than one day in advance and departures are not always guaranteed. The aircraft is now much better, both in terms of price and comfort, and only the indefensible maritime transport will choose the ferry. In recent years, there has been a project of a new ferry terminal that could change the situation, but the realization is slow.
