CENTRAL BAKU
This restaurant, which has a false air of Parisian brasserie, is part of the fashionable trend in Baku, which consists in imitating the whole city of Enlightenment: newsstands, parking meters and, from now on, brasseries. As much as the Bistro Paris (see above) is a success, so much so that Central Baku finally only has the facade, because inside there is a decoration and a card that are looking for each other. Half bistro half oriental atmosphere, east-west menu with salads composed as assortments of fish and Russian-style raw vegetables... In the end, it's rather pleasant, since people of all origins come to meet each other there, and the mixture of styles does not take anything away from the pleasant setting. The servers in uniform are a little too quickly overwhelmed but do their best, on the plate side nothing exceptional but choice and a lot of good things without good or bad surprises, and prices that remain reasonable. A stone's throw from the Place des Fontaines, for a perfect lunch break during your visit to the city.
