VILLA PETROLEA
Inaugurated in 2008, the Nobel Brothers Museum logically occupies the building not the Nobel Brothers themselves in 1882 and named Villa Petrolea. It was built shortly after Robert, the eldest of the two Nobel men, discovered a field of oil in Baku in 1876. The two brothers, during their passage to Azerbaijan, owe the invention of the tanker and the development of the first European pipeline. They were very marked by the local culture and called this first Prétolier Prétolier, and also found the silhouette of the Fire temple of Surakhany with its four flames. During the visit, we can see many personal objects and furniture that belonged to the two brothers, as well as many photographs of the time illustrating their first steps as billionaires in Baku.
