KARAVANSARAY HOTEL

The country's charming hotel, probably the only one of its kind. It is set in a sumptuous 50-room caravanserai, dating back to the th century and renovated for tourist purposes. The restoration was made with taste; The rooms on two floors are sober, often narrow but full of charm. The central courtyard has a small refreshing fountain and, at the rear of the caravanserai, opens onto a large garden where meals are served in summer. There are also dining rooms inside, for less lenient days. The establishment is not necessarily recommendable in winter, because humidity is easily installed in rooms with stone walls. In summer, however, the Karavanseray is probably the most charming hotel in the whole of Azerbaijan.
