The memorial to the Azeri martyrs of the twentieth century, Xatira Muzeyi, is on a hill dominating the city in the north. At the centre of this half-circle memorial, a great statue represents a mother in crying. From this monument, there is a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Agri (more known as Mount Ararat).
