Cherbourg-en-Cotentin is a town in Normandy's Manche region, which hosts the annual Tour des Ports de la Manche, a sailing race linking various ports in the region. Intermediate stages include Cherbourg, Dielette, St Peter (Guernsey), Carteret and St Helier (Jersey). This anniversary edition will feature some 98 registered yachts, covering some 250 nautical miles. One of this year's special features is the return of Guernsey as a stopover on the race course. In addition to the competition, participants and visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the stopover towns, notably Cherbourg and St Helier, with their history, culture and unspoiled natural landscapes. La Manche is a nautical destination par excellence, with its 355 km of unspoilt coastline and numerous nautical events throughout the year.
