Situated on the Octeville hill, a short distance from the Octeville town hall, the swimming pool of the same name offers a large 25-metre pool, as well as a paddling pool for the little ones. The originality of the place lies in the possibility of the roof to retract, so that swimmers can enjoy the sun on sunny days - connoisseurs call such a structure "Piscine Tournesol". Less frequented than its big sisters of the Chantereyne, Collignon or Equeurdreville, also less expensive, the swimming pool of the Butte is mainly frequented by regulars, making the atmosphere friendly. In addition to swimming lessons, the possibility of learning the joys of aquagym is also offered and, less commonplace, there is the possibility of renting a whole water line for yourself! Finally, the swimming pool is surrounded by a very pretty little urban park, a haven for joggers and walkers: a real little oasis in the heart of the city! The only swimming pool Cherbourg that does not have a draught in the showers or in cloakrooms!!!
It is the least expensive pool of Cherbourg,
The welcome is super nice (cashiers and lifeguards)
Why not to renovate it and leave the roof sliding damage, yes, it rains inside, a small weeding for the solarium and why not a few green plants in flower boxes!
What a pity!
Is not open roof with summer, small solarium, cloakroom heated very well (a collective part and three individual cabins) very friendly. Temperature of very pleasant water, a corridor classes swimming, one for experienced swimmers and two others open to all. Paddling pool for children. Three lounge chairs with diposition.
