We had a very nice stay at this hotel on a ski trip around Easter. The staff are very friendly. We had breakfast and dinner included an both were very good. There is a pool table in the bar. There is also a swimming pool but my wife reported that it was a bit cold for our baby. The hotel has its own ski lockers and is easily accessible from the slopes (effectively ski-in ski-out as long as there's enough snow).
Our room was the garden room which is very sizeable and comfortable with a king bed, a bunk bed and another single bed.
There is an underground garage but I had some problems with my car (a Mercedes Vito bus), the first time I went in I scratched it against the wall as it's a quite narrow turn. When I came out I managed to do it, so it is possible but it is hard.
Other parking options are six spaces belonging to the hotel (often full) and yellow boxes near the hotel (including the actual ski lift car park belinging to the Grandvalira lift operator. Apparently these are ok but there are no clear signings either way.
Another option is parking in the village across the roundabout which is free at night (and then potentially move it during the day to the Grandvalira car park or elsewhere).
I stupidly parked my car in a no parking zone and got clamped, only to be released later. All not the hotel's fault but I am putting this out as information for guests who may not want to use the underground car park.
So overall a very nice stay and fully recommended. Great value for money. Only reason for four instead of five stars is that the hotel itself is a little dated but this does not detract from the overall enjoyable stay.
We stayed in March 2024 and were delighted! The price-quality ratio is amazing given that the hotel is right next to the ski slope. We had ski lockers included in our reservation to store boots and skis to dry overnight. From the lockers it’s a two minute walk to the slope, from where you can ski to the gondola. It’s so conveniently located that you can ski from the mountain to the hotel during lunch time and not waste any skiing time because the ride to the gondola is cool.
Tes bon rapport qualité-prix
Great Hotel in a perfect location, We managed to ski back to just opposite the door every day. All the staff were very welcoming and looked after us all week. The Kitchen deserves a special mention providing lovely food with a good choice every night.
Last but not least the ski locker room is nice and warm so dry boots in the morning!
Atendimento espetacular! Quartos pequenos mas confortáveis. O bar do hotel é bom!!!
Beautiful and unique hotel, I especially loved the clown room and the art around the hotel. I went with my family (six of us) and it was a lovely experience. The food was immaculate! Perfect for skiing since it was all very convenient like two ski lifts to the slopes and a ski locker in the hotel. The staff were amazing, friendly and easy to joke around with (which were the highlight of the meal times while waiting for food). Going to the pool after a day of skiing with family was a nice bit of down time, very peaceful! Overall my family and I had a wonderful time and felt very accommodated and we would love to come here again :D
Habitaciones y restaurante correctos sin mas
Piscina demasiado fria y descuidada
we stayed a night in quadruple room with bunk beds for children. Especially off-season very pleasant hotel when it is almost empty. Comfortable, very clean and spacious room. Bathroom with bathtub. Safe. Satellite TV and views of the ski slopes. The chairlift is 20 metres away: ideal for skiers winter I imagine.
Generally, the decor is very neat. The hotel has a very pleasant indoor pool with jacuzzi (beautiful view of the mountains), a lounge treatments (closed when we visited), and an elegant dining room restaurant. Half-board at €90 night in August: given the quality of the meal and pdj, it is a very interesting choice.
The only downside: El Tarter is a residential small village. Hard to park and very few shops and restaurants near the hotel

One suggestion is to have an ‘adults only’ pool time.
