Charming en suite rooms in a hotel in Basel.

Built by the architects Basel Diener & Diener in the 1980 s, completely renovated in 2006, Hotel Metropol has 46 rooms with warm and bright colours. All have a bathroom with bathtub, kettle, and flat screen TV with satellite channels. From the 5 th floor, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the St. Elisabeth church and the cathedral. Deluxe rooms have a small lounge corner and are located at the corner of the hotel, enjoying even more views over the city. But the best panorama remains from the room where you will take your breakfast (buffet) on the top floor. Nothing like this to start the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even in French!

L'accueil à la réception est toujours très aimable, en français ! Le petit déjeuner au 8eme étage vaut le coup, tant pour la vue que pour le buffet. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, le seul bémol (à mon gout) c'est le fait que, été comme hiver, il n'y ait qu'une couette et pas de drap : c'est trop chaud...
Niveau localisation, à 5 minutes de la gare, c'est parfait.
