GRAND HÔTEL LES TROIS ROIS * * * * *
Charming rooms in a chic and historic 3-star hotel with spa, sauna and restaurant on the banks of the Rhine in Basel.
Staying in this hotel means following in the footsteps of the city's most prestigious guests and one of the oldest addresses of urban hotels in Europe. If the name evokes in the first place, a common name at the time, the three kings of the Nativity, since then, Napoleon Bonaparte, Queen Elizabeth, Richard Wagner, Voltaire, Thomas Mann or Sartre, to mention only a few names - in historical disorder - they have contributed to establishing the reputation of excellence of this establishment. The hotel, whose first foundations date back to the end of the 17th century, is today the most luxurious in the city. Enjoying a unique location on the banks of the Rhine, where all connections are made, and renovated in 2004 by Basel architect Christian Lang, the large listed historic building has retained its former character and offers magnificent rooms decorated in classic or Art Deco styles. The rooms are real candy boxes, enjoying an exceptional location and an unobstructed view of the Rhine. Several categories are available, from the standard double room (22 m²) to the suite Les Trois Rois (250 m²), with fireplace area, but also outdoor spa and sauna area overlooking the rooftops of the city. A relaxation and weight training area and a sauna are at the disposal of the customers, massages in addition, several concierge services are totally dedicated to the customers. Finally, its restaurant, Le Cheval Blanc, is the only address in Switzerland to be awarded three stars in the Michelin Guide in 2019. Luxury and refinement are therefore present in every detail of this exceptional address.
