Nice hotel clean and fairly central to the main tourist attractions.

Zimmer viel zu klein. Stickig und unter mir ist anscheinend die Küche. Durch den Lärm kann man kaum schlafen. Im Zimmer sind Ameisen. Natürlich dann auch im Bett.

Gutes Hotel, sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis und gute Lage, um die Altstadt zu erkunden. Sehr netter Kellner bei Frühstück.

War nur zum Essen da

Ein sehr schönes altes Restaurant. Was mir sehr gut gefällt.????

Dessert war wiederlich Vermicelle nicht frisch. Entrecote sehr gut.

Chiar dacă camera a fost la strada principala nu s-a auzit galagie. Camera cam mica, dar a fost curat. Când lipseste frigiderul din camera scade calitatea, dar pentru un fumator cred ca este ok aici deoarece camera are balcon.

Waren gerade zum Abendessen da. Bedienung war unfreundlich. Brot zur Suppe kam erst als wir schon fertig waren mit der Suppe.
Das Schweinsvoressen mit Champignionsauce, Nudeln und Gemüse war ungeniessbar.
Angus Burger waren solala und die wilden Kartoffeln (stink normale Country Potatos) waren nicht ganz durchfrittiert.
Die Aioli Sauce bekamen wir auch nur nach Nachfrage, obwohl die zu den Kartoffeln dazu gehören, laut Speisekarte.
Als wir mitteilten, dass das Essen nicht gut sei, wurde es zur Kenntnis genommen vom unfreundlichen Kellner und die zum Teil fast vollen Teller wurden abgeräumt.
Eine Alternative wurde nicht angeboten und es wurde ALLES zum vollen Preis verrechnet.
Wir waren das letzte Mal in diesem Restaurant und können es keinem Weiterempfehlen, ausser man hat eine Verstopfung, die man lösen möchte.

Egy éjszakára jöttünk, csendes és barátságos hely a központban.

Eravamo di ritorno da Francoforte e vista l'ora abbiamo deciso di fermarci a Basilea per la notte. Prenotata su booking durante il viaggio, arriviamo in hotel per la sistemazione: camera stretta e bagno grande in proporzione.
4 piani ma l'ascensore arriva al terzo.
Stile vecchio.
Prezzo 100 euro a testa in singola
Diciamo che non è il massimo...ma meglio di niente!

Ich war dort zum Essen. Das war sehr gut. Service gut. Die Schweiz ist allerdings teuer!

Super Mittagässe mit Läberli anere Madeirasauce und Röschti.

Die Zimmer kann ich nicht beurteilen, aber das Restaurant ist super. Guter Service und feine schweizer Küche! Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis.

An einem frostigen Morgen strebten wir nach einer gemütlichen Tasse Tee, um uns aufzuwärmen. Der Inhaber, ein freundlicher Mann mit einem warmen Lächeln, bemerkte wohl unsere frostigen Gesichter und bot uns nicht nur Tee an, sondern überraschte uns auch mit einem großzügigen Geschenk: einem köstlichen Teller mit dampfendem Rührei mit Speck und Gipfeli.Diese unerwartete Geste der Großzügigkeit erwärmte nicht nur unseren Magen, sondern auch unsere Herzen ! Vielen Dank !

It was super nice to get an upgrade to a double room at checkin though the room for me isn't a thing: I just want clean, quiet and secure so small doesn't matter. But this was nice especially as I ended up spending most of Monday in the room due to weather and the fact that most museums in Basel are closed on Monday.

The location is great. It's right next to a tram line and close to Claraplatz. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and you should try The Pub right up the street. A full supermarket Coop is across the street. I did not try their restaurant (CHF18 for breakfast!).

Pluses...
The hot water is HOT and the shower worked well. Small, but at least I was fully surrounded by glass. Not the "half-glass" thing that seems so common in Europe.
Heat worked well. Too well, the second night and I had to open the patio door and let some 5 degree Celsius in for a bit to balance.
Yes. there's a patio door with two chairs and a tiny table overlooking a courtyard. That was quiet to enjoy coffee.
A little bit of hallway noise and a slamming door or two but not enough to be a problem.

Complaints...
The first room I was shown was a smoking room. Really bad. But the clerk at the counter immediately reassigned me to another room on the same floor without a problem.
The coffee machine is the strangest thing I've ever tried to use. I wish I'd brought my hot water kettle with me. This machine was odd and I only managed to get one half decent cup out of it.
There were nearly enough power outlets and none at the desk.
Wifi was slow. Okay for browsing but the upload speed was terrible. I did not manage to write many reviews during my stay!

Overall, decent. It's fine for inexpensive.

War nur zur schnellen Einkehr dort, kann deshalb keine Zimmer beurteilen. Schönes Lokal, freundliche Bedienung. Tramhaltestelle gleich vor dem Lokal.

Wenn man die Zimmer vielleicht noch ein bisschen kleiner machen könnte, dann wäre stehend schlafen möglich. Sorry, aber bei die Ppreise passen nicht zur Zimmerausstattung.
