Hotel with fitness room located a few metres from the Spalentor in Basel.
Opened in February 2002, the Hotel Spalentor is located just a few meters from the imposing medieval Spalentor Gate, with direct views from many rooms. As you push open the reception door, it's the red tones that catch your eye. The spacious rooms are very pleasant, well-appointed and feature functional bathrooms. The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious. Fitness room. Reception offers a friendly, professional welcome and free bikes for exploring Basel.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Spalentor war sehr angenehm, das Frühstück hervorragend, das Zimmer gut ausgestattet, allerdings war der Verkehrslärm störend, auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern.
Der Zimmerservice war gut, und das Verhalten/die Ansprechbarkeit der MitarbeiterInnen beim Empfang war sehr erfreulich, auch erhielten wir gute Informationen zu unserem Aufenthalt in Basel. Ebenso gut und zugewandt war das Verhalten Ihrer Mitarbeiterinnen im Frühstücksraum.

Chambres propres et confortables. Petites attentions à l'arrivée (pommes, boissons de bienvenues, fruits à disposition à l'accueil pour la durée du séjour). Le personnel s'est montré accueillant et chaleureux. La présence du bar et de quelques jeux (billard, fléchettes, babyfoot, jeux enfants) est un plus. L'hôtel est bien situé juste à l'entrée de la vieille ville de Bâle et à quelques arrêts du zoo.

Zeer degelijke hotel met geweldig personeel op een echte toplocatie.
The location is great. 10 minute walk from the Center and away from the crowds. Very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
I will definitely be staying here if I ever go back to Basel!
