In the heart of the pedestrian zone in the city centre, between Barfi and Marktplatz, Hotel Basel is particularly attractive because of its location. Hotel guests can drive straight through the pedestrian zone via Schneidergasse: when entering "Fischmarkt" into the GPS, the route is clearly marked out. Once you get there, you frankly forget the car. The modern rooms offer a refined comfort, between the beautiful Nordic asceticism and the warmth of the Swiss woods - a small spicy detail that we have not tested, alas - "loverooms" in warmer tones and with a bathtub welcome couples in particular for romantic weekends. The most demanding guests will find their happiness in the suites with more generous surfaces and a view of the rooftops of the old town. A 4-star welcome and service.
