The Federal Charter Museum is dedicated to the Confederation, presented in two ways: the history of the old Confederation and the myths associated with it. The famous Federal Charter signed on August1, 1291 between the cantons of Schwyz, Uri and Unterwalden is at the heart of this exhibition, which also features the Grütli Oath (1307), the story of William Tell (1307), the battles of Morgarten (1315) and Marignan (1515), and the Brunnen Pact (1315).
