MUSEUM REINHART AM STADTGARTEN
The museum exhibits more than 600 works by German-speaking painters, from the 18th century to the present day, from Oskar Reinhart's collection. Swiss painters are particularly honoured, with names such as Hodler, Segantini or Liotard. Among the German painters are exposed followers of romanticism, such as Friedrich and Runge, idealism realism, such as Waldmüller and Manzel, and impressionism, with Uhde and Liebermann. It should be noted that since 2016 the museum has had the Briner and Kern collection, which is distinguished by many works by the great Dutch masters of the 17th century as well as their French, English and German contemporaries.
