VILLA FLORA
Built in 1846 and renovated in 1908 in the Art Nouveau style, Villa Flora was the residence of the famous couple of art collectors, the Hahnloser-Bühler, from 1898. True lovers of modern art, the couple assembled an exceptional collection of works from the 19th and early 20th centuries, focusing on two themes: the Nabis group (Bonnard, Denis...) and fauvism (Matisse, Marquet...). We will also see works by Swiss avant-garde painters (Ferdinand Hodler, Giovanni Giacometti...) and masterpieces by Édouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh, Odilon Redon, Henri Matisse and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Unfortunately, the villa is under renovation until 2022, but the works can be admired at the Kunstmuseum in Bern.
