Historically, the Stiva Grischuna was a popular meeting place during the first boom in tourism in Disentis in the years 1890-1914. In 1985, Hanni and Norbert Maissen bought it and turned it into a charming restaurant. The centrepiece is the large stove in the middle of the restaurant, which is very popular on cold winter days. On sunny days, the covered terrace is exquisite! One of the specialities is the charbonnade: you grill the most tender pieces of beef yourself at the table on a charcoal grill.
